MEET OUR PIANO TEACHER
Ms. Kristine’s heart began to beat for music when she was just seven years old, after her first piano lesson at a local music school in Latvia. While pursuing her B.A. in Piano Performance and Teaching at Riga Teacher Training and Educational Management Academy, she began to develop her effective teaching methods. Her desire to be a skilled teacher led her to pursue an M.M. in Piano Performance and Pedagogy (with distinction) from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey.
At Westminster, she studied with the noted pianist Ena Barton and many nationally recognized music authors and educators, like Ingrid Clarfield, Phyllis Alpert Lehrer, and James Goldsworthy. Ms. Kristine has studied with the best in her field, so she knows what it takes to be the best.
While Ms. Kristine has an impressive academic record, her music education did not end after obtaining her degrees. Today, she continues to regularly attend national workshops to stay up to date with the best practices of piano education and is currently studying with the highly regarded music educator Irina Gorin, author of Tales of a Musical Journey.
Ms. Kristine loves traveling, photography, and spending time with her family in her free time.
